Nowadays, supermarkets are stocked with many food imports from around the worlds. Some would argue that it would be better to sell the food produce within the countries. I firmly belive this and lets discuss it!
It is certainly the case that importing food can give bad impact to local culture. It can be seen in countries such as Japan where imported food has become more popular than traditional food, local produce.eroding people's understanding of their food tradition.
My second major reason is the effect on enviromental cost. Food imports are transported thousand of miles by sea, road, air, making the product more expensive and more pollution becausr of exhaust fumes. Despite the fact that trade of  food exports has existed for many years,I strongly belive the reduction will give financial and enviromental gains.
However, many jobs may be depend on this trade and some less developed countries depend their economic survival from this activity. In spite of this, the importance of developing countries should not be undervalued.
In conclusion,I am certain that reducing food would have cultural dan envirometal benefits. What is more, the local economy, in time, prosper commercially as the demand for local and regional product remains high resisting the competition overseas.
Do you agree?:)
